We are pleased to announce that the Call for ¶¡Ïã³ÉÈËÉçÇø Awards 2025 is now open! ¶¡Ïã³ÉÈËÉçÇø confers several prestigious awards, presented at the ¶¡Ïã³ÉÈËÉçÇø World Congresses, that recognize outstanding contributions to political science and include a monetary prize. 

¶¡Ïã³ÉÈËÉçÇø members are invited to submit nominations before 1 November 2024 for the two awards: The Karl Deutsch Award and the Prize of the Foundation Mattei Dogan. Nominations for these awards can be submitted in one of the following ways:

a) by a national association of ¶¡Ïã³ÉÈËÉçÇø;

b) by an ¶¡Ïã³ÉÈËÉçÇø Research Committee (RC);

c) jointly by two or more ¶¡Ïã³ÉÈËÉçÇø members in good standing of at least two different nationalities;

d) by an incumbent ¶¡Ïã³ÉÈËÉçÇø Executive Committee (EC) member;

e) from outside ¶¡Ïã³ÉÈËÉçÇø, by established academic institutions active in political science.

You can also submit your application for the Global South Award, Stein Rokkan Travel Grant Award and the ¶¡Ïã³ÉÈËÉçÇø Guillermo O’Donnell Award for Latin-American Scholars by 1 March 2025. 

Launched at the 2023 ¶¡Ïã³ÉÈËÉçÇø World Congress in Buenos Aires, the ¶¡Ïã³ÉÈËÉçÇø Guillermo O'Donnell Award for Latin-American Scholars was established to recognize early-career scholars who obtained their Ph.D. within the past seven years, with no age restriction. The award is named in honor of Prof. Guillermo O’Donnell, ¶¡Ïã³ÉÈËÉçÇø's Past President and one of Latin America’s most prominent political scientists. The award will be presented for the first time at the 2025 World Congress in Seoul.
