¶¡Ïã³ÉÈËÉçÇø

The International Political Science Association (¶¡Ïã³ÉÈËÉçÇø) was proud to partner up with AIESEC Canada’s (Y2B), which gathered around 500 delegates, on 1-4 June 2020. This year’s edition of Y2B was for the first time entirely virtual. The theme of the conference was The Climate Movement: Navigating a World in an Environmental Crisis, a movement that strives to find viable solutions to mitigate and adapt to global environmental change.

¶¡Ïã³ÉÈËÉçÇø Executive Director, Kim Fontaine-Skronski, moderated a panel titled Universal Collaboration on Climate Change on 2 June. The panel brought together diverse perspectives from different industries including Stéfanie Rondou-Pontbriand from Air Canada, Robert Pelletier from Export Development Canada, Brian Hong from RBC Future Launch, David Hume from the Canadian Associations of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) and Amna Syed, a youth representative from AIESEC. Each speaker emphasized the importance of their industry’s role in the Climate Movement and the steps taken to address climate change challenges. They also discussed the role of youth in the Climate Movement.

The panel was followed by a Q&A session with the virtual audience, during which the delegates had the opportunity to grill the speakers about necessary actions to deal with climate change.

¶¡Ïã³ÉÈËÉçÇø’s Virtual Booth

¶¡Ïã³ÉÈËÉçÇø also attended this event as an exhibitor through a virtual booth. During the event, delegates were able to attend ¶¡Ïã³ÉÈËÉçÇø presentations and meet ¶¡Ïã³ÉÈËÉçÇø representatives. The staff highlighted ¶¡Ïã³ÉÈËÉçÇø’s efforts to foster universal collaboration through its community of members, Research Committees, World Congress, ¶¡Ïã³ÉÈËÉçÇø Journals, Summer Schools and ¶¡Ïã³ÉÈËÉçÇøMOOCs. Participants were also able to live chat with the booth representatives.
