¶¡Ïã³ÉÈËÉçÇø President-Elect Pablo Oñate and Executive Director Kim Fontaine-Skronski participated in the  (JOI) organized by Connexion internationale de ²Ñ´Ç²Ô³Ù°ùé²¹±ô (CIMtl) on 18 May 2023. This year's event marked the 10th anniversary of CIMtl and the program featured four roundtables with eight representatives of international organizations discussing the latest trends and challenges in the following areas:

• Education and Francophonie;
• Sustainable Development and Technologies (AI);
• Health;
• Aviation and Security.

Dr. Fontaine-Skronski spoke on the panel "Education and Francophonie", which focused on ¶¡Ïã³ÉÈËÉçÇø’s mission and activities in promoting education at the international level as well as the role of the French language at the heart of academic research, highlighting its importance in political science. Dr. Fontaine-Skronski talked about the status of the French language at ¶¡Ïã³ÉÈËÉçÇø since its founding in Paris in 1949 and the central role French has played in ¶¡Ïã³ÉÈËÉçÇø's mission and among its members worldwide. She was joined by Prof. Saulo Neiva, Regional Director of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) for the Americas.

The event was followed by a cocktail reception attended by ¶¡Ïã³ÉÈËÉçÇø President-elect Pablo Oñate. The participation of the ¶¡Ïã³ÉÈËÉçÇø delegation in the Journée des organisations internationales demonstrates ¶¡Ïã³ÉÈËÉçÇø's commitment to promoting international cooperation and to engaging with local and global partners. By actively engaging with local and international organizations, ¶¡Ïã³ÉÈËÉçÇø contributes to strengthening ties between academia, research institutions, and the global political science community.
